Ajoy Edwards (born May 9, 1973) is an Indian entrepreneur and politician from Darjeeling, West Bengal. He is the founder and president of the regional political party Hamro Party, and the owner of the restaurant and bakery Glenary's in Darjeeling. Edwards is known for his involvement in local governance and advocacy for development in the Darjeeling hills.

Business career

Edwards owns Glenary's, a historic restaurant and bakery in Darjeeling, which has been operational for over a century. He modernized the business while retaining its traditional appeal.[2]

Political career

Edwards entered politics with a focus on local governance. On November 25, 2021, he founded the Hamro Party, which seeks to improve governance and development in the Darjeeling hills.[3]

In March 2022, the Hamro Party won a majority in the Darjeeling Municipality elections, securing 18 out of 32 seats.[4]
