Autopatrolled

I have created over 500 new articles. Of the last 100 or so, the vast majority have come from one of two places. I am either

  1. Using this template to create a stub from this list of female legislators; or
  2. Noticing a great deal of content scattered among several articles and realizing that it could serve as a standalone article.

I anticipate the vast majority of my new articles will be from one of those two items going forward.

Of my 535 new articles, 22 have been deleted, but 5 recreated. Of the others, there are a few groups of similar types of biographies, e.g. first female judge in a particular court. They were created, and then AFDed, in rapid succession. Once the lesson was learned, I didn't create more. At least one was a WP:G7. In any case, it's been a few years since that has happened. --Slugger O'Toole (talk) 01:50, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Autopatrolled is for those editors who produce "clean" articles, Slugger O'Toole, free of issues so that other editors don't have to do cleanup. One way of highlighting issues is to have cleanup tags, and you yourself post those as part of your template. Of your last ten articles, three are tagged. That's not good enough. I thought I'd give you a chance to respond before I make up my mind. Schwede66 19:06, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The first regarded non-standard references. That was a result of pulling material from multiple articles and combining it. It looked fine on the front end, so I didn't bother standardizing it on the back end. I took care of it now. It also wasn't tagged at the time of my request.
The second tag is a notability tag. It, too, did not exist at the time of my request. I have, however, added several additional sources and believe I have sufficiently addressed the concern.
The third is an orphan tag. I took care of it as well.
To be honest, I really don't care if I am granted autopatrolled status or not. I only requested it because I thought it would help the project and alleviate the backlog. Of course, I don't want there to be any issues with my articles, but getting the status or not is not going to materially change the way I create new articles. --Slugger O'Toole (talk) 21:14, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Can I get input from other admins, please? Schwede66 23:08, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The issues raised in the clean-up tags were minor and it doesn't look like Slugger O'Toole is in the habit of leaving them unaddressed for long (though I agree it is quite strange to include a cleanup tag in your own creations). I don't see a great deal of benefit in continuing to patrol their creations manually. – Joe (talk) 07:34, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Done Thanks, Joe Roe, for your input. Schwede66 07:56, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I have created a few articles, about 37 per XTools and I understand the policies guiding an autopatrolled user, e.g., the WP:BLP, WP:C, WP:N, WP:V, and they're evident in my contributions. Thanks! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 11:00, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
