Hello, this is our first attempt at applying for an Adminstrator position. This account will actually be an office account with access given to only those who require it to update information. This account belongs to the 509th Bomb Wing Public Affairs office located at Whiteman Air Force Base Missouri in Knob Noster. Admin tools woudl be a huge asset for us to correct and update any facts, history, photos and any other information concerning the 509th Bomb Wing and the history of units leading to the creation of the 509th Bomb Wing. Whiteman Air Force Base is home of the 509th Bomb Wing, the Air Force Reserve 442nd Fighter Wing, the 131st Bomb Wing (the only Air National Guard unit to fly the B-2 Spirit), the Missouri National Guard 1st Battalion 135th Attack Unit and the Navy Reserve Maritime Expeditionary Security Division 13. As well the Whiteman is the home of the B-2 Spirit. The 442nd Fighter Wing flies A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, the 394th Combat Training Squadron flies the T-38 Talon and the 1-135th flies the AH-64 Apache.

Our office, as well as Air Combat Command, is looking heavily into more and more web-based media and information outlets. Recently we invited a photographer/blogger to our base with a myriad of visits to several base agencies, a B-2 Simulator tour, and a T-38 ride chasing a B-2. Here is the specifc blog covering his flight: http://horizontalrain.com/blog/2008/07/17/a-date-with-mr-reaper-and-death-day-3/ There are an additional four days worth of blogs from his visit at this site.

These are the currently identified pages that we would be concerned with, not all are pages, but we intend to create one for each as we update.

Whiteman Air Force Base 509th Operations Group 13th Bomb Squadron 393d Bomb Squadron 394th Combat Training Squadron 509th Operations Support Squadron 509th Maintenance Group 509th Munitions Squadron 509th Maintenance Operations Squadron 509th Maintenance Squadron 509th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron 509th Mission Support Group 509th Force Support Squadron 509th Civil Engineering Squadron 509th Logistics Readiness Squadron 509th Security Forces Squadron 509th Contracting Squadron 509th Communications Squadron 509th Medical Group 509th Medical Operations Squadron 509th Medical Support Squadron 442d Fighter Wing Whiteman Air Force Base Any other referencees to the 509th such as the composite and the bombardment group Sedalia Army Air Field B-2 Spirit

We ask only fo rht B-2 Spirit as we are the only unit to fly the aircraft. we are nto as concerend with the T-38, AH-64, or A-10 as the information is most likely accurate on yoru site and can be easily updated.

We hope to be able to revamped, update and add to the information available to make the information more credibel, accurate adn as well provide another means to tell the sotry of the 509th Bomb Wing and the Air Force
