Seems to redirect to a bio about some guy named "Mike McQuary". This redirect makes no sense. -- Mikiemike (talk) 04:43, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wilkesboro Metropolitan Area[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was no consensus. SchuminWeb (Talk) 06:52, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect previously existed as a hoax article about a metropolitan area. After a CSD G3 tag was placed, the article was redirected to Wilkesboro, North Carolina as a "plausible redirect". However, the Wilkesboro Metropolitan Area does not officially exist for the Wilkesboro, North Carolina area. Dough4872 00:18, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment (Note that I was the admin who converted the article into a redirect) I don't care if this is deleted or not, but redirects are cheap, and even if the region is not officially known as the "Wilkesboro Metropolitan Area", I could see an article referring to the general whereabouts of the town as "the Wilkesboro metropolitan area" (as far-fetched as it sounds). Anyway, do what you will. Dabomb87 (talk) 00:24, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • A Google search for the term reveals few relevant results. The Wilkesboro area is not defined as a metropolitan area by the Census Bureau, which says the core city needs to have at least 50,000 people (Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro have far less than that). The area is however considered a part of the North Wilkesboro micropolitan statistical area. Since that is an official definition, that is a valid redirect. From what is seems like, the term "Wilkesboro Metropolitan Area" is simply made up. The term "Metropolitan Area" can be attached to the end of almost any populated place, with an infinite amount of needless redirects. Dough4872 00:34, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Harmless, not a complete reach as search terms go. bd2412 T 04:30, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
    • But the term is nonexistient. If the case is to keep this redirect, we mind as well create "x Metropolitan Area" to redirect to town x, where x can be any town name in the world. Dough4872 20:02, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, this is a nonexistent entity. As Dough4872 says, if this town can have a metropolitan area, which community can't? Nyttend (talk) 21:34, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Zero Kelvin[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was no consensus. However, I make this with a disclaimer. There appears to be agreement that this should be a disambiguation page of some sort, but not in the specific implementation of such. I see no reason to leave it in this process any longer, however, since administrative action is not required to carry out its result. I encourage editors to be bold and disambiguate. SchuminWeb (Talk) 06:57, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A more useful redirect for this article might be Absolute Zero, as in the temperature of zero on the Kelvin scale, rather than the film Kjærlighetens kjøtere. Possibly create a disambiguation page? EcthelionGenesis (talk) 21:37, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
