Keep not sure if I have to do it here as well, but I'll give the same reasons as the commons deletion: I have updated the author to unknown as the summary was directly transferred from the English Wikipedia without evidence of who the author is. Per the PD-Australia and URAA date, the copyright has expired under part A1 "A1 Works published anonymously, under a pseudonym or the creator is unknown: (not photos): Published prior to 1 January 1946" this work was published in 1934. File:Robert Hardy Rex Features.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by There'sNoTime (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
The image was first discussed at Talk:Robert Hardy when the removal was attempted but then reinserted. As the image was further discussed, I discovered that it belongs to Rex Features, which requires a user to register on the behalf of one's own company. This implies that Rex Features has commercial interests in the image, which would fail WP:NFCC#2. However, the uploader (also an admin) disagrees by saying that using the image does not replace its original market role. The image was later published at (umm... mentioning the name would make other groan), which did not credit the original source, yet the uploader cited it until I corrected him. I don't want to continue discussing at the article talk page further as (I believe) local consensus does not override copyright concerns.

Honestly, I'm not nominating this image out of the WP:NFCC#1 concerns. Indeed, I contacted Hillsdale College, which uploaded videos of Robert Hardy's seminars; in response, they would not grant permission to let the videos be used, implying that using the videos would exceed fair use limits. I also contacted other video uploaders and photographers, yet I've not yet received their responses. A screenshot of Hardy in a BBC program(me) would be tolerable, but Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2017 May 18 resulted in endorsing deletion of another screenshot from a BBC news program(me) due to BBC's commercial interests in the USA. If someone else can upload an irreplaceable image that has very little commercial interests (or a freely licensed image), that would be nice. –George Ho (talk) 05:52, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decorative use of non-free poster art in subsections of the Stuart Matthew Price. In general, the non-free use of poster art such as these would be acceptable when used as the primary means of identification at the top or in the main infobox of a stand-alone article about the musical/theatrical production in question, but in other places WP:NFCC#8 is much harder to justify. Price was involved with both productions, but not in a way requires that the reader actually needs to see these two non-free images. Neither image is itself the subject of a sourced critical commmentary or is being used to improve the understanding of a particular stype or technique, so the context for non-free use required by NFCC#8 is completely lacking. The single sentence about the Imaginary does not need any kind of non-free image to be understood, and the same applies to the few sentences of article content about the UK tour of the The Addams Family Musical.

"File:Imaginary Musical Poster 2017.jpg" was also being used in National Youth Music Theatre#Relaunch – 2005 to the present, but it did not have the separate, specific non-free fair use rationale required for that particular use by WP:NFC#10c, and it was being used in a image gallery of other posters (the others are all from Commons so they are not subject to WP:NFCCP) which is a type of non-free use almost never allowed per WP:NFG. I did not say a way in which a valid non-free use rationale could be written for this particular use, so I removed it per WP:NFCCE.

So, unless a btter justification for non-free use can be provided for each of these files, I suggest delete for both. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:52, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have deleted the Imaginary poster from the relevant article but dispute the removal for the poster for the Addams Family Musical as I have added it to the UK tour section on the home article where I think its use can be fully justified as well as on Mr Price's article as a producer of the show. • You did add the "File:The Addams Family Musical UK tour poster.jpg" to The Addams Family (musical)#United Kingdom, but did not provide the non-free use rationale required by WP:NFCC#10c, so the file could simply be removed per WP:NFCCE. So, please provide a rationale explaining how the non-free use of the file in that particular way satisfies WP:NFCCP.
Moreover, unless you plan to add more content, particularly sourced critical commentary discussing the poster itself (e.g., its design or creation), to the musical's UK section or to the Price article, then I do not see how such a non-free use meets NFCC#8 for either case. The reader is no way needs to see a non-free image to understand that Price produced the show. A simple statement supported by a reliable source is more than sufficient for that encyclopedic purpose per WP:FREER. A non-free file should really only be used in cases where its use significantly improves the reader's understanding to such a degree that omitting the file would be detrimental to that understanding. If Price designed the poster and his design was something that reliable sources talked about (for example, it won some kinf of award or something, or was controversial in nature, ets.), then adding the a non-free image of the poster in support of such article content could be possibly justified. There is, however, nothing in either the musical's article or Price's article about the poster which might justify its non-free use; in fact, price is not even mentioned by name in the musical's album. You basically seem to be arguing the file needs to be used and seen by the reader because Price was associated with the production. If that's acceptaed as a valid argument, then the same could be argued for the file's use in a Wikipedia article about anyone else associated with the prodution. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:12, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
