No references in the article. And the subject fails WP:ENT. I couldn't find any reliable source on him. Farhikht (talk) 16:39, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete - per nom and there is not even an indication of notability. If this article was recent, I would say speedy delete. Cquan (after the beep...) 22:40, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep as since the last !vote was made above 4 days ago, the article now has references,[1] and the individual meets WP:BIO through WP:CREATIVE and WP:GNG. While accepting in good faith that the nominator could not find sources, I had absolutely no trouble doing so using the provided Find sources above, including full length and in-depth English-language articles about the man and his work in such as Ha'aretz,[2] Ynetnews,[3] and Jewish Exponent.[4] If thse were so readily available, my thought is that there should also be Iranian-language sources to which I do not have access. And while not world-wide, the individual has received coverage and his work has received critical review. Notability to Judaism or Iran is notable enough for en.Wikipedia. It serves the project for this article to remian and be further improved over time and through regular editing. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 04:16, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, sources on article now are sufficient to establish notability under the GNG. --j⚛e deckertalk 16:10, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak delete. With all due respect to the sources, they do not establish notability per WP:CREATIVE. This filmmaker has made only one film. If the film is notable, perhaps a page should be made about that. Yoninah (talk) 21:24, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Err... looking is always helpful, as there is an artcle about his film. Meeting WP:GNG, even if weakly, is better than CREATIVE in meeting WP:BIO. However, if someone can jump in plane, fly to Iran, and find the hardcopy Iranian language sources that have not made it to the west or online, that would go far toward improving this article. Not being in Iran, I had to settle for what I could find online. As the article is not a violation of WP:BLP or WP:NOT it improves the project to have it remain and be improved over time and through regular editing. - Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so a clearer consensus may be reached.

- Keep as per schmidt.Wm.Pittman (talk) 01:09, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep I have found an article about subject each in the NY Times and in YTNews, and a book describing his works. That should be sufficient for notability. Linda Olive (talk) 16:51, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
