Declined speedy. Self-promoting autobiography of non-notable person. Single film appearance as actor in low budget zombie flick. Races cars. Has a few bylines in local media. Some of the references are to raw video shot by the subject and hosted on his YouTube account. Nothing remotely approaching significant coverage -- Rrburke (talk) 01:42, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment No matter its author, the article now belongs to Wikipedia and an article's syle and appearance can always be addressed through regular editing. Has anyone actually looked to see if his asserted awards meet WP:ANYBIO? Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 00:47, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. Hi, Michael. Although the article lede describes the subject as an "award-winning journalist" etc, the claim is unreferenced and no awards are specified. Similarly, while the article includes a subhead entitled "awards and nominations," that section is empty. In short, as there are no actual awards asserted, there's nothing to evaluate. Nor could I find any evidence of such awards myself: if I'd been able to, I wouldn't have nominated the article for deletion.
- I should have mentioned I did look. I couldn't find any such awards either. EEng (talk) 17:48, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- It may also be worth mentioning that his claim to being a journalist looks a little dubious: he appears to have large numbers of articles at the online edition of the Kingsport Times-News, a site that allows any registered user to "create and publish articles[1]. -- Rrburke (talk) 18:02, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Oh, I have no doubt that Jeff Bobo IS a real journalist, and not simply some online writer... specially as we can find articles authored by him for many years as a staff writer and reporter for the hardcopy The Harlan Daily Enterprise examples:199619971998 and he was writing as a staffer for the hardcopy Kingsport Times News for 4 years [2] before they began their online Times News and encouraged amateurs to submit articles. So he IS verifiable as a real journalist... but his awards are not themselves souurcable. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 22:36, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- I put the subhead there in case the asserted awards could be sourced. I appreciate that you looked... though you were no more successful than was I. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:02, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
