Unclear why a comparison of military ranks based on membership of a language-based organisation (without this being a military organisation or even being indicative of French being a major language in the country) would be a good topic for a list, and not just a random grouping of two unrelated characteristics.
There are many other similar articles created over the last few days; I have now only nominated these for the Francophonie, but if deleted then probably other AfDs for the Anglophone and Hispanic countries are needed as well (and any others that might exist on the same basis).
Also nominated are:
- Comparative air force officer ranks of the Francophonie
- Comparative navy enlisted ranks of the Francophonie
- Comparative navy officer ranks of the Francophonie
- Comparative army enlisted ranks of the Francophonie
- Comparative army officer ranks of the Francophonie Fram (talk) 11:30, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

- Comment. I can see the value of the comparative charts by language, as military organisations in Angophone countries mostly follow the British (or sometimes American, although these obviously have similarities) model, those in Francophone countries mostly follow the French model, etc, and it's useful to see the variations, but I'm not so sure about this one, which is a bit of an odd mixture. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:24, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Comment I’m pretty baffled about the purpose, value and appropriateness of these articles, largely because they look like they have a high degree of WP:SYNTH. This one is particularly odd as it lists under “la Francophonie” Albania, Bulgaria and Armenia. Mccapra (talk) 13:08, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Albania has been a member of the OIF since 1999. This is not the same as "Anglophone", nor "Francophone". The OIF is an actual international organization by this name, with permanent observer status at the UN General Assembly. https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/IMG/pdf/Ouagadougou_9.pdf It has no apparent military rôle, however.
