The result was keep. Clear consensus that improved sourcing is sufficient to show notability. Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 16:31, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

*Delete, one reference to Myspace and no references about this person's work. Keep, reliable references have been added and the article is now better quality. Shockmetric (Talk to me) 11:11, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Speedy Delete, claim to fame is first runner up in a talent show? Only ref is Myspace? Come on!-- Alexf(talk) 11:45, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Deleteunless solid references appear suddenly. With all those strings to his bow, there must be something somewhere - or perhaps not... Peridon (talk) 15:06, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Two of the four sources are YouTube based. YouTube is generally not a good place for sources. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 17:19, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment In addressing Mr. C.C. concerns, at 16:46, April 15, 2010, Youtube and Myspace links were removed from the article by its author. And in addressing concerns of others in this discussion, at 22:22, April 16, 2010, I myself removed the Facebook and Blog links, and began cleanup and sourcing. - Comment come on folks... while the current sourcing stinks, under his real name of Khairil Azam Pilus, there do appear to be sources acceptable to Wikiedia... but admittedly a BLP1E.[1] Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 00:08, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- 2nd Comment: Took up my own challenge and began cleanup and sourcing of this new article to attempt addressing the earlier delete comments. With respects to the nominator, it was never tagged for improvement and went to AFD only 90 minutes after creation. To the author's credit, they continued tentative improvements after the nomination... so why not let's see if it can be fixed before deciding it cannot based upon the edits of a newcomer? Toward that end, Facebook and blog have now been moved the talk page, and I have begun additional cleanup and sourcing to the article itself. However, and since sources are in the Malay language, and with respects to the editors who commented above, I will hope for input from Malay reading Wiipedians. It is my thought that notable in Malaysia should be notable enough for en.Wikipedia despite the problems with the derth of English language sources. Not being written of in English is a handicap, yes... but perhaps one we can address through regular editing. Any assistance will be most welcome. - Keep Okay... actions speak louder than words. This is what was sent to AFD... and THIS is what we have now. If I could find what I did in just over an hour, certainly there are more Malay sources that I could not find and more that can be done. Seems Khairil Azam Pilus (aka Aril) has bankrolled his time on the seventh season of Akademi Fantasia into an acting and singing career that is getting additional coverage, and is not a BLP1E. I believe there is enough now to satisfy WP:GNG and that this article will benefit the project by remaining and growing further. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 23:49, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Plenty of coverage as a fan favorite on a reality television show. I'm sure far more sources of the person exist in their native language. Dream Focus 05:52, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep enough reliable sources. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 07:55, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment When you look at the news portion of Google, there are no hits with his real name. When you search his stage name, nothing related to this person comes up. When searching his real name in a general search, nothing comes up. I found ONE thing that would be considered a useful source. All the other stuff are links to MySpace related stuff (profile, blogs, pics, etc.), Facebook, pictures, places to get MySpace layouts on this said person, different directory listings on this person, other social networking sites, blogs, etc.. Search eleven pages of hits turns up next to nothing. Plus, some of the links need to be translated in order to verify their content. When searching his stage name, nothing related to this person comes up. So still not enough sources for this person can be found which will make it problem to verify anything. For all I know, this could be a hoax. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 16:01, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Huh? Hoax??? A confusing comment, as there is certanily enough in both Malay and English to WP:V, and there are indeed G-news hits with his real name. That you were unhappy with a regular google search does not mean that such were used in cleanup and sourcing... No Myspace. No blogs. No Youtube. And in noting your additional concern, and although Malaysian press uses different format from Western press, please know that no non-RS were used to source this article. - Comment Did I stutter? I looked at both and it's just stuff to MySpace's, Facebooks, image hosting. The first one had no news hits in the news portion. The second one has two new hits on the news portion. Still not enough and notable outside of his native country. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 17:52, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Please review WP:GHITS. Your search practices and your personally limited results are not a reason for deletion. And I didn't stutter either. Youtube is not sourcing the article. Myspace is not sourcing the article. Facebook is not sourcing the article. Blogs are not sourcing the article. Image host sites are not sourcing the article. None of those were used in the improved article. Your continuing to bring those up in explaining your own lack of search results is what is confusing. Your assertion of hoax is what is confusing. You might actually look at the article and the sourcing it now has, instead of complaining further. And that you cannot read Malay? Please visit WP:CSB. There is enough sourcing now for a reasonable presumption that the fellow is notable in Malyasia... and THAT, per guideline, is notable enough for it to remain and be further improved over time to serve en.Wikipedia.
