Thank you for the question. The notability of both have been called into question, and the complaint is primary resources, which I don't understand. All of the resources are independent of the school or team. Maybe I still don't understand what non-primary means.

I learned a long time ago to not get into pissing matches with senior editors. They take it personally, and dig in like a Jehova's Witness pitbull, refusing to yield even when in the wrong. Seraphimblade by his own admission is a deletionist, a badge he wears proudly. It's just not worth the effort, at least my effort. Would appreciate it a lot if you could specifically note which of the 69 citations on the Allen Eagles Football page are considered primary. It may help me understand what a primary reference is. And, for reference, the question I asked you was sincere, not rhetorical. You might have had some sources that showed the team notable, but it was all but impossible to discern in the reference bombing from trivial mentions, sources about other things that happened to mention them, and the like.
