I'm having trouble identifying the reason for the introduction of this category; as it is identical in most respects to Category:Christopher Wren churches in London - except for the exceptions noted in that category. I think such an additional category is likely to be listed at categories for discussion shortly, and likely removed. It is also unclear from the category name as to whether these are 'surviving Wren churches in the City of London'; or 'surviving Wren churches in Greater London'. Thanks Kbthompson (talk) 16:43, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since there will be no more made by Wren; perhaps you could consider a more useful expenditure of your time in creating such a list - with a name like List of Christopher Wren Churches in London. Such a list could be sub-divided by City of London (the majority); other locations (few exceptions); and each church could be listed by construction date - demolition (if appropriate). An example of a list like that is List of churches destroyed in the Great Fire of London and not rebuilt. I am worried that you're doing an enormous amount of work that may be quickly undone - I have seen many of these things go to CFD and the result be 'listify'. HTH Kbthompson (talk) 17:07, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Generally speaking, lists are to be preferred for categories which are 'immutable' - ie not subject to change. In particular, there are few differences between the two categories - which is why I thought I'd ask you about it. cheers Kbthompson (talk) 17:25, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That seems fine; I'm sure references can eventually be found to support the information in the list. I've no time now; but I might do some formatting (tabulate, etc) when I do have some. I really think that is quite useful; well done. Congratulations on your first article for wikipedia! Kbthompson (talk) 19:05, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

please introduce yourself[edit]

Hello Jo

Could you please briefly introduce yourself in your user page? Then I would no longer be confronted with a red link when I "talk" to you on other pages. Now I'm never sure I misspelled your user name. Also you don't have to repeat your introduction when you are addressing others. Jo Pol (talk) 06:44, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
