Although some prefer welcoming new users with cookies, I find fruit to be a healthier alternative.

Hello, Duduzimm, and welcome to Wikipedia! I am Sam Sailor and I would like to thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
  Introduction to Wikipedia
  The five pillars of Wikipedia
  Editing tutorial
  How to edit a page
  Simplified Manual of Style
  The basics of Wikicode
  How to develop an article
  How to create an article
  Help pages
  What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Do's and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't vandalize
  Don't get blocked

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun! To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

If you need further help, you can:

  Ask a question

or even:

Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, place {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome,  and happy editing!

April 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi Duduzimm! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Bruno Santos (model) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Response to your section[edit]

Hey there, since you posted a question or request for help on the wrong page, that being User:DatGuy, I'll post my response here (again) so that your incorrectly placed response can be removed by him or so you can look it over again when it's archived automatically.

Your file isn't nominated or scheduled for deletion. It was simply resized to comply with Wikipedia's requirement for non-free images (including yours) to be under 0.1 MP.

I'll go ahead and add the corresponding template(s) that show you have obtained authorization from the copyright holder to use the photo.

You can check my edits and see how I did it if you want to learn how to do it yourself in the future!

If you have any questions, you can always let me know. ★Ama TALK CONTRIBS 00:25, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm done editing the file. As you can see I also changed the fair use rationale some, as some portions of it weren't quite in line with Wikipedia's strong standards of objectivity. Now it's up for a reviewer to judge whether the file meets Fair Use standards. You could run into some issues because they could say that there could be a free image to be used that 'instructs the public' just as much as this professional picture does. Just make sure not to mark your own image as reviewed yourself. ★Ama TALK CONTRIBS 00:46, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy file deletion[edit]

Replaceable fair use File:Bruno Santos by Juan Martin.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bruno Santos by Juan Martin.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

See also the relevant discussion on WP:CQ about the file if you have any questions. ★Ama TALK CONTRIBS 22:26, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
