Talk page ABCs

  • Sign your comments with four tildes. ~~~~
  • To address another user, you can (but do not have to) use one of these templates: {{ping|Username}} or {{u|Username}}. (Case and spelling sensitive) These templates will notify the user that you're addressing them, but only if you sign your comment with four tildes, and only if you don't edit the comment after saving.
Example: "Hi, {{u|Username}}, how are you?"
  • Indenting replies makes it easier to follow discussions. Use colons at the beginning of the line to indent. Each colon indents one time, like so:
I'm tired.
:Why are you tired?
::I didn't get enough sleep last night.
:::Get some sleep tonight!
::::Good idea, thanks!
  • Be civil.

  • "Prem Khan" () - See: Washim Rahman
    • "Washim Rahman" () - same as above
  • "Komail Shayan"() - Name has been submitted hundreds of times dating back to June 2016. Name has never been accompanied by a reference, and in 99.99% of the cases, it was submitted by an Iranian IP-hopper. (Ex: 5.209.250.52, 89.196.133.241, 5.239.147.207, 37.129.203.41, 151.235.1.131, etc.) Submitting users have never participated in discussion. User also has competence issues, like here where they generate wikilinks off another person's name. Note also that despite their assertion the Shayan was involved in this, his name doesn't appear at iTunes. The wikilink fail is also seen here and it is a fairly common thing they do. Same here where an Iranian IP stuffs his name into an article, when there are zero reliable sources to substantiate it. The push by Iranian IPs is also very bizarre. Note also this addition in February 2018, which was picked up by Firstpost. The addition by the Iranian IP is clear vandalism, since the film's music credits do not mention either Komail Shayan or A. R. Rahman.

  • "Shreyas Shringarpure" () - See Shani (TV series) and user Socialmediaharsh - looks like promotional push to create articles and stuff this guy into existing articles.

    • "Tenn-Speed" ()

  • "Virendra Singh Patyal" () - Feb 2019 - See Saims243, a sock of Sscomputers201
  • "Bhaumik Gondaliya" () - Nov 2019 - Brought to my attention by Kailash. Problem flared up in early October 2019,[5] but I found a 2016 instance here at Rustom (film). Persistent vanity additions of "Bhaumik Gondaliya" into the producer and/or starring parameters of Indian film articles, typically Hindi. IP hopper from Gujarati. Gondaliya's name does not appear on the Rustom film poster, so this name appears to always be a disruptive inclusion.
    • "Gondaliya Films" () - Per this
  • "Amin Aminem" () - Nov 2019 - Repeatedly recreated article despite AfD. Possible sockpuppetry of Sirisecure
  • "Rakesh Krushna Joshi" () - June 2020 - Repeated submission See Jayant Mahagate who was working hard at submitting this 17-year-old's name into articles. See also Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Arshifakhan61.
  • "Medha Shri Dahiya" () - July 2020 - User Diya.diya23 was repeatedly adding content written by this person into articles. As of this note (24 July 2020) there are only two mentions of this person's name in the encyclopedia, and they're in the references at Om Swami.
  • "Prarambha" () - November 2020 - Film article related to Vijayclicker93 sock farm. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/AjKa180.
    • "Priyanka Chincholi" () - November 2020 - Same as above. Vijayclicker93. Likely UPE.
  • "Umesh Kaushik" () - November 2020 - Kept adding his name to Indian films claiming to be an editor. He claimed to have edited Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. I checked the credits and didn't find him. Attempted twice to create Draft:Umesh kaushik.

    • Issue was with spam from this organisation and persistent disruption of forcing "ISC" as post-nominal initials. Also they were adding ISC in the |title= param of infobox. See consensus here
  • "sacnilk.com" - spam, originally, but also a garbage reference. Circa 2020-2021.
