Below is the timeline that Raging Waters in California is supposed to look like (my timeline for it, of course).

  • 1970s: Raging waters opens
  • summer of 2010: I visit it (for real)
  • Feb 8, 2031: construction is announced publicly and starts for a ride like no other
  • May 27, 2037: a new ride opens- Scorched Earth (revenue made by the park triples thanks to this new ride from $27,289,231 in US currency in 2036 to $81,867,693 in US currency in 2037)
  • June 1, 2089: The park is closed for renovations for the next 3 years
  • June 1, 2092: The park makes a grand reopening. Nothing really changes for the next 200 years.
  • July 16, 2292: An unidentified person dies on the dropout attraction; the parks closes for one year to figure out the cause.
  • May 3, 2293: The cause of the mishap is determined; a set of bolts that hold the slide together came loose. This deadly problem was overlooked by an engineer during an inspection of the slide. Since gaining publicity the engineer was reported missing on May 6, 2293, after he did not show up to work. He has not been heard from since.
