Irene Logan (born February 16, 1984), she is originally from Liberia and grew up in Ghana. An eclectic singer/songwriter who broke out of girl group "Irene and Jane", constituted of herself and Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor (Efya). Irene and Jane group got exposure to fame in the maiden edition of the Stars of the Future talent show in 2006 where she emerged the winner. Irene has been riding a successful solo career since 2009 with hit songs like "Run away", "Kabila", "Na me dey there", "Akwasi kasanova", "Dance", "Sa", and many more. Irene Logan's music is generally inspired by the diversity of Africa, witnessing different cultures of the beautiful continent.

Life and music career Irene Logan was born in Monrovia, Liberia, her father died when she was 3 months old. Upon moving to Ghana where she lived most of her life, her mother got married to a Ghanaian. Irene grew up surrounded by a music, her step-dad a guitarist and singer while her mother was a popular gospel singer in Liberia before moving to Ghana. She has her first go at a microphone at age 3. At age 5, she performed at the Natioanl Theatre with the Christian Action Faith Ministry. It was a gospel rock show where they sang 'People need the Lord'.

By the time she was in Achimota School (before that John Teye Memorial and en route to Zenith College) studying music, literature and history, she was a choir leader. She went on to perform at various places, including weddings, churches, and even Miss Teen Personality 2002. She also won an Opera Singing Competition and a song-writing competition for a Fanta song she composed with some friends. She was part of a group called S-Touch which also featured Salimi Akill, Richie, Ferguson and Selassie Hanson.

Irene and Jane Irene Logan met Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor (Efya) on Stars of the future and the two soon formed a bond that birthed one of Ghana's most successful Girl group. Irene and Jane revolutionized the music industry with songs like "baby" and "heated up". Their hard work was acknowledged with nominations at the Chanel O music video awards in 2007, Won best female vocalist in 2007 at Ghana music awards, and nominated KORA awards in 2008.
