See my edits to telepathy for proof that I am adding to the skeptical perspective. I was merely concerned about the wording in other edits. I have since clarified my non-fringe intent.Joe Heato (talk) 22:25, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

RC Patrol-related Proposals in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

Hello LoudLizard. My modification wasn't a vandalism. I understand your distrust, probably caused by recurrent vandalisms, but these informations were true. More explications here. Cordially. Jean Fume (talk) 14:38, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for clarifying this. I have replied on your talk page. LoudLizard (📞 | contribs | ✉) 14:13, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Review - newsletter No.2

Hello LoudLizard,
A HUGE backlog

We now have 816 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.

Hitting 17,000 soon

The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.

Second set of eyes

Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.

Abuse

This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and

  1. this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
  2. this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
  3. This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.

Coordinator election

Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

What were your reasons for this revert?

What were your reasons for this revert? You didn't use an edit summary (it's always useful to use one, btw). Jeni (talk) 23:25, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeni:: Hi. I reverted this edit because I had a look on Google Maps and it seems that the A47 terminates at Great Yarmouth, where the road splits to the A12, which goes through Lowestoft. LoudLizard (📞 | contribs | ✉) 13:07, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Google isn't usually reliable, especially when it comes to road numbering - they can take years to get with the times. The A47 was recently extended to Lowestoft, and there was a recent request on Talk:A47 road for the article to be updated. Please please don't blindly revert without at least checking the talk page, it would have given a hint as to what was going on. Jeni (talk) 13:40, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
