Bogus sock accusation back again

I've asked for a speedy on Wikipedia talk:Sockpuppet investigations/ bonadeaphone. I recognize this, but I don't know if there is an applicable SPI case. Meters (talk) 17:28, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for tagging it. The sockmaster (and SPI) is User:Nsmutte. Cheers,--bonadea contributions talk 17:53, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll know where to take it next time. Meters (talk) 18:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Just curious, but is this a sock of the same editor Nsmutte? Deli nk (talk) 14:26, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) Yes! Favonian (talk) 14:33, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And, can I ask, are all these recent IPs (bad faith AN3s etc) also Nsmutte? Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 18:30, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) They're WP:DUCKS at the very least. Also, if you could see the deleted edits and the filter logs, you would see the text they use is recycled each time. I'm confident enough it's Nsmutte that I'm going on a blocking rampage for it. BethNaught (talk) 18:37, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, affected editors' contributions seem not to be safe either (e.g. John Harrington (knight), one of *mine*). Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 18:43, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I was worried that might happen. That one is blocked. BethNaught (talk) 18:46, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Yeah, I've been concerned about that, too. --bonadea contributions talk 21:40, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
man, you got so much hate in that SPI page...
Bonadea, Meters, Favonian, BethNaught, Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi, we got another at 103.58.127.181... well not quite since the Ip is blocked but this person based on behavior is extremely similar and from the same region. Winterysteppe (talk) 17:19, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Per Gustafsson Banér, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chamberlain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Editing Page: Tae Yun Kim

"Hello. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Tae Yun Kim seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you"

Thank you for checking on the validity of the article, I was simply adding more to Tae Yun Kim's personal life and added a new Section about her martial arts. I realize that this edit may seem odd because I just created this account, but I thought I would rather create an account and edit vs. editing without an account.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know and I can address them.

Thanks! Ssalton (talk) 22:10, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Troll accounts are at Winterystepe and Wimterysteppe. haha Winterysteppe (talk) 00:43, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! I tried to look for some references too, but all I was able to turn up were two passing mentions in what looked like government documents, and two seemingly abandoned Facebook pages. --Erick Shepherd (talk) 11:39, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Um.... You don't know even why I did that. Somaliland isa country no matter what anyone says. Although I was born in America, My origin comes from Somaliland. I can never say that Somaliland is part of Somalia. It has alredy been recognized a long time. And how can you say that this is an act of vandalism. I am reporting this to Wikipedia.Maganhassan (talk) 08:52, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit here introduced factual errors regarding region names; since that edit followed an blatantly unconstructive edit to another article it is hardly strange that it would be viewed as random vandalism, especially since there was no explanation of it. Please use edit summaries to explain your edits. As for the status of Somaliland as a country, if you want to change how that is represented in Wikipedia you will have to discuss it on the article's talk page and achieve ansolid consensus in favour of any change. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 09:14, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I can remove whatever I want because everyone but the content creator can remove the banner. Look at the speedy deletion rules. — Preceding unsigned comment added by J0203 (talk • contribs) 05:22, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

But Johnathan Lightfoot is not nominated for speedy deletion, it is listed at Articles for deletion which is a different process. A valid AfD template cannot be removed by anyone until the discussion is closed. (As for speedy deletion template removals, a brand new user showing up to remove a sd template is generally acting on the content creator's behalf, which is the same thing as if the creator had removed it themselves. But that is beside the point here.) --bonadea contributions talk 05:29, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Brothers Pizza

Well I'm not trying to promote a business I'm trying to put Brothers Pizza on Wiki just like Papa Johns is and other restaurants. Whats wrong with that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by GreekSoccer34 (talk • contribs) 16:18, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On the article's talk page you posted the following: "I have permission from the owner(s) of Brothers Pizza and they completely approve of me promoting there business."[sic] Hence my post on your user talk page. --bonadea contributions talk 16:22, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't shout. Did you have a chance to look at some of the information that was posted to your user talk page? That will tell you the reasons why not every company in the world may have a Wikipedia article. Secondly, the article you wrote was entirely promotional, there was nothing in there that could have been used in a Wikipedia article about the company, even if the company had been notable enough to have a Wikipedia article.
Since you have decided to start insulting me, I'm going to have to ask you to stop posting to this talk page. As I mentioned on your user talk page, the Wikipedia tea house is the best place to ask questions, but please remember to be civil to the other editors. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 16:32, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Science

Hello Miss Bonadea,

I understand your view on my posting on the Happy Science page though there is so much about Happy Science that is not explained in the wiki. I am not promoting the organization but stating the actual truth of what Happy Science is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nekosamurai23 (talk • contribs) 18:43, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(I am not a "miss" but that's ok - I'm not offended :-) ) As you have seen by another editor also reverting your edits, this is by no means my views, but the official policies of Wikipedia. Articles have to be written in a neutral tone and claims such as the ones you made in this edit are very far from being neutral. Please propose any changes you want to make on the article's talk page - here - instead of editing the article directly. Editors who are not affiliated with the Happy Science movement can then review the suggestions and make any necessary changes to the article. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 18:50, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

About AMD FreeSync and the others

Hello. Thank you for the message. Some of the edits were not especially helpful, but some edits were correct and a reference was valid. AMD FreeSync indeed works with HDMI 1.4a and above (I work in the monitor industry so I'm updated about these things). Some of the others, yeah they probably didn't add much to the quality of the article yes that's right. I won't do that again, sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Singa1988 (talk • contribs) 19:32, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nsmutte?

Hi, Bonadea. I blocked Dftghjk per WP:DUCK as a sock of Truthistruth777, but you have changed the sockmaster in the userpage tag to Nsmutte. Could you tell me what it is you recognize, please — did Nsmutte use to claim to be Bonadea, too? It would still be a bit odd, because Dftghjk edited User talk:Truthistruth777 — where do you suppose he got a notion like that, if he isn't Truthistruth777?

The reason I ask is that I blocked Truthistruth777 for two weeks for block evasion, and if that wasn't him, I want to lift the block. It's not a big deal, I suppose, since Truthistruth777 is so disruptive he'll probably soon be indeffed if he ever edits again. Still, I don't want to block him incorrectly. If there is any doubt, I'll lift the block. Bishonen | talk 20:15, 29 May 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Hi @Bishonen:. Nsmutte has a number of peculiar behavioural patterns - one of them has been to create sockpuppets with names that impersonate me (see Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Nsmutte), and a month or two ago, he'd scribble things like "bonadea is super editor" on random pages in a ham-fisted attempt to make it look like I was vandalising. He has also done some wikistalking - not very systematically, but from time to time - going to user talk pages I've posted to and posting attacks or messages for me. (I can't find any diffs for that just now - there have been too many socks.) Not just with me, for that matter, he also targets BethNaught and Favonian and a couple of other people, but I seem to be his favourite nemesis. Other indications is the username, which if you look at the list of socks is pretty standard Nsmutte, and his writing style as seen here. Truthistruth's English is quite frankly much better than Nsmutte's.
However, Truthistruth did evade his or her block as well, using an IP address (68.112.203.95) which was blocked as an IPsock by Boing! said Zebedee, around the same time you increased Truthistruth's block, so I thought that's why you did it. I agree with your suspicion about future editing habits, but maybe two weeks for IPsocking is harsher than necessary - I don't know. Anyway, I can look up diffs if you want better proof than just my conviction (I have been known to be wrong about things in the past :-) ) but am on my way to bed now so I'm afraid it will have to wait. Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 20:38, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, it's not worth any more research. Thanks for your info. You know many people think having "Truth" in your username is reason enough for an indef? Not seriously, but tongue-in-cheek it's a good point, because very few such users turn out well. And as for having it twice in your username, well..! Bishonen | talk 20:47, 29 May 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Userspace protection

I noticed that Nsmutte has recently taken to creating vandalistic/attack pages in your user and user talk spaces. I believe that I can use the title blacklist to restrict editing, moving and creating of all your user subpages and user talk subpages, to autoconfirmed users. (This could also apply to Bonadeaphone.) Your user page and user talk page would be handled using the usual protection system.

Would you like me to do this? If yes, please look at my draft banner message (analagous to the red box saying this page is protected) and suggest any changes if you think appropriate (I'm trying to keep it general-purpose, but feedback is welcome).

Thank you, BethNaught (talk) 22:07, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@BethNaught: Thanks, that does sound like it would be useful, and I appreciate it. I'll have a closer look at it when I get home tonight. --bonadea contributions talk 13:47, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to try to implement this now. BethNaught (talk) 18:03, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Done. I've tested it under admin, autoconfirmed and nonconfirmed accounts and it seems to be working. You shouldn't notice anything different, because at the moment autoconfirmed users do not see a title blacklist warning when a page is restricted to autoconfirmed users via the blacklist (this may change, see phab:T137369). You'll still see the normal semi-protection notices, as I haven't done a batch-unprotect, but they are now redundant and not relevant to the protected status of your user space. This also applies to Bonadeaphone. Like I noted, your user page and user talk page are not covered and will be handled as usual (although this will hardly be an onerous administrative task). Please let me know if you experience any problems. Thanks, BethNaught (talk) 18:27, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
