Aerial view looking west over the RKO/Desilu Studios film backlot known as Forty Acres, in Culver City, California, as it looked in 1965. The triangular lot is girded by Higuera Street on the right, West Jefferson Boulevard on the left and the productions studios (present day, The Culver Studios) at the top of the photo. In the center of the photo is Main Street, used in the hit TV series The Andy Griffith Show. The prison camp set used for Hogan's Heroes, Mission: Impossible and Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS is in the far right corner, near the junction of Higuera Street and Lucerne Avenue.
