Summary

Description
English: A manual carpet stretcher, shown upside down to reveal the spikes that grip the carpet during stretching. The fitter rams his knee (with great force) on the black padded end of the tool, with the spikes seen in the photo gripping the carpet. The carpet is then pushed down onto nails that stick up on the gripper strip around the periphery of the room. The fitter then pushes the carpet edge down into the channel behind the gripper, to produce a perfect edge.
