Blink Industries is an Emmy,[1] BAFTA[2] and Annie[3] award winning production company and animation studio based in London. Founded in 2012 by James Stevenson Bretton, Blink Industries is home to the distinctive and the authored; Specialising in bringing an inventive approach to their slate of both broadcast and digital projects that look and feel like no other.

The studio is best known for producing the puppet comedy horror viral web series 'Don't Hug Me I'm Scared' and the subsequent television show of the same name for Channel 4.[4] Blink Industries has a 120-seat animation studio, as well as a recording studio, and develops and produces projects across kids & family, live action scripted comedy, adult animation and feature films.

Blink Industries was founded as a partner company to commercial production company, Blink Productions and Blink Ink, as well as the music supervision company Major Tom and Blink Games.[5] The company was created to focus on long form development for Film & TV.

Since amassing over 350 million views and more than 3 million subscribers on Youtube for the viral web series ‘Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared’,[6] Blink Industries has produced many notable projects such as; ‘Dead End: Paranormal Park’,[7] an animated series for Netflix developed from the ‘Deadendia’ graphic novels by Hamish Steele (who also served as Creator and Showrunner of the series), ‘All Through the House’,[8] an episode of animated anthology series ‘Love, Death + Robots’ for Netflix, 'Enkai',[9] an episode of the afro-futuristic animation anthology 'Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire' for Disney+ and ‘Peter & The Wolf’,[10] a half-hour special made in collaboration with BMG for HBO Max, with international distribution through BBC Studios.

Blink Industries is currently in production on 'The Sunnyridge 3', a 20 x 22-minute original series for Disney+. Created by Stevie Gee & Essy May.[11]
