Adam Dovile is an Australian builder and Logie award winning television presenter. Adam first rose to fame as the winner of House Rules (season 2) alongside his wife Lisa Lamond.

Adam has been the DIY and building presenter on Better Homes and Gardens (TV program) since 2015, earning himself the TV Week Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent in 2016.

In 2024, Adam became Better Homes and Garden's longest serving DIY presenter, surpassing 10 years on air.

Early life[edit]

Adam was born in Melbourne to Sam and Joan Dovile in Melbourne. He comes from a large Sicillian family, who owned a family's pizza restaurant, where Adam spent most of his youth.[1]

From the age of 13, Dovile saved up to buy his own car. However, at age 18 his car was destroyed in a crash.[2]

Television[edit]

House Rules[edit]

Dovile and his girlfriend Lisa Lamond applied for season 2 of House Rules, with Dovile becoming a fan favourite due to his positive attitude and gleaming smile. The couple won the series, and the major prize of getting their mortgage paid off.[3]

Better Homes and Gardens[edit]

In 2015 it was announced Adam would be joining Better Homes and Gardens alongside Demi Harman, as their resident builder replacing DIY guru Rob Palmer.[4]

All New Monty: Guys and Gals[edit]

In 2020 it was announced Dovile would take part in the television series All New Monty: Guys and Gals.[5] Dovile was one of 15 Australian celebrities who stripped nude in order to raise funds for men and women's cancer. Adam revealed he was doing the show to support his father who has been battling prostate cancer since 2017.[6]

Dancing With The Stars[edit]

Dovile joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars in 2024, where he was paired with professional dancer Jess Raffa.[7]

Personal life[edit]

Adam is a Collingwood football tragic.

Adam and wife Lisa married in 2016[8], and have two daughters; Arabella and Ruby.[9]
