1890 Rocket Regiment is part of the Regiment of Artillery of the Indian Army.
Formation[edit]
The regiment which was initially a Light Regiment, is presently a Rocket Regiment equipped with Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers. The unit took part in the initial trials of the Pinaka weapon system.[1]

The regiment has won the following gallantry awards–
- VCOAS Commendation Cards - Gunner Bijender Singh[2]
Achievements[edit]
- The regiment had the honour to participate in the Republic Day Parade with the Pinaka Multi Launcher Rocket System in 2011, 2015 and 2024.[3][4]
Motto[edit]
The motto of the regiment is विजयी भव (Vijayi Bhava), which translates to May you always win.
Notable officers[edit]
- Brigadier AJS Behl - commanded the unit and and retired in April 1995 as the Deputy Director General of National Cadet Corps, Jammu and Kashmir.[5]
