Ayo-Bankole Akintujoye (born August 16, 1986) is a Nigerian serial entrepreneur, consultant and founder, Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp and Caladium Consulting.[1][2][3][4]

Education[edit]

Ayo started his early education at Omolere Nursery and Primary School in Akure, Ondo State but completed it at A-Z Nursery and Primary School in Ajao Estate, Lagos State. He proceeded to African Church Model College, Ifako for his secondary education. He got his B.Ed. Counselling and Political Science from the University of Ibadan and his M.Sc. Political Science with a major in Human Relations and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos.[5] He is a certified project management professional by the Project Management Institute and holds a Disruptive Strategy certificate from Harvard Business School.

Career[edit]

Ayo began his career in 2007 as a Project Manager with AIESEC in Ibadan, however his career as a consultant began in 2009, when he joined C2G Consulting, worked with KPMG in 2010, and joined PwC as a consultant in 2012.[6] In 2014, he joined Philips Consulting as a senior consultant and then moved to FMDQ in 2016 as the head of strategy. He became the Head of Business Planning at aiteo in 2020 before starting his consulting firm, Caladium Consulting.[7]

Ayo lobbied groups on behalf of the logistics players in Nigeria, during the 2020 NIPOST license increment, which resulted in the reversal of the industry guidelines in favour of Postmaster General by the Nigerian National Assembly.[8]

Ayo has been featured on global and local media such as BBC, Al-Jazeera, DW Germany, South African Business Radio, Spice FM Kenya, Channels, Arise TV, AIT, Punch Newspapers, among others.[9][10][11]

Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp[edit]

Ayo started Caladium Consulting in 2010 with a mission to “leverage global expertise to deliver value to local SMEs”.[12] Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp is one of the projects Ayo executes, ''as an advocate for good governance, and the growth of MSMEs for economic potential.''[13][14] The bootcamp hosts more than 1,500 participants yearly, according to BusinessDay Nigeria.[12]
