Stolen Honor is a 45-minute video documentary, produced by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and decorated Vietnam veteran Carlton Sherwood. The video documentary was released in September 2004. It features interviews with a number of American men who were prisoners of war in North Vietnam and who contend that they suffered increased maltreatment as prisoners directly as a result of John Kerry's Fulbright Hearing testimony in April 1971. Stolen Honor is a project of an independent film agency, Red, White and Blue Productions.

Mark Nevins, a spokeman for the Kerry presidential campaign, stated: "This group is the poor, distant cousin of the Swift Boat Veterans for Bush. It’s comprised of people with questionable backgrounds whose sole mission in life is to smear John Kerry." [1] (Nevins was making a derisive reference to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, an organization that has also criticized Kerry's activities in opposition to the Vietnam War.)

According to conservative commentator Deroy Murdock: "It presents POWs who argue that John Kerry's fallacious spring 1971 claims that U.S. atrocities occurred on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command' amplified their agony under America's North Vietnamese enemies." [2]

FrontPageMag.com said this about it: "The new documentary Stolen Honor documents how a young John Kerry jumpstarted his political career by denouncing American soldiers -- and how the Vietnamese used his actions to torture, demoralize and threaten American Prisoners of War." [3]

Sherwood, the producer of the video, formerly worked for Pennsylvania governor Tom Ridge, whom George W. Bush later appointed as the first Secretary of Homeland Security. The Bush administration has selected Sherwood to create and manage a new federal website aimed at first responders (police officers, firefighters, etc.). While working as a Ridge administration official, Sherwood directed then-Gov. Ridge's award-winning broadcast TV and radio operations in Harrisburg. He currently serves as executive vice president of the WVC3 Group, an anti-terrorism, security firm headquartered in Reston, VA. [4]
