Please stop adding unsourced trivial content to articles as you have been doing to John Harington (writer). in order to be encyclopedic , a "in popular culture section needs to have a secondary source discussing the actual impact, and not just "I saw it here." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shining_(film)#In_popular_culture do any of the articles listed there as reference "indicate encyclopedic content"? a lot of the sites listed there are very similar to the ones i used.
