I'd just like to say thanks for taking the time to consider me, and thanks for the confidence in me. I hope your confidence in me proves to be justified.

Regards, WilyD

Burrowing Owl

I know you already supported, but User:Wsiegmund has used his software to edit the Burrowing Owl shot I took...if you care to take another peek.[1]--MONGO 05:55, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Jordan Mudrack

A tag has been placed on Jordan Mudrack, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Just looking at your page, you seem to me to have lost control of your password. --EarthPerson 17:25, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead and delete it, I forgot to log out here at school and a buddy of mine took advantage and created the article. -- Phoenix2 (holla) 17:28, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's still marked as speedy so it will get removed in a while. --EarthPerson 17:32, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. -- Phoenix2 (holla) 17:33, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

That's me...
That's me...

Dear AceYYC, thanks for your support in my recent RfA, it was, however, unsuccessful. I am not the type of editor to be disheartened by such a result, and have gained much experience. If you have anything to contribute by way of improvements or comments, please don’t hesitate to tell me.

I will run again. Until then, Cheers, Dfrg.msc 08:00, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

Hello, AceYYC, and thank you so much for voting in my recent RFA, which passed 59/0/0! I promise I won't erupt all over this nice Wikipedia, and I will try very hard to live up to your expectations. Please let me know if I can help you in any way, but first take your cookie! Thanks again! KrakatoaKatie 19:42, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, can you help me out with an issue I'm having with another editor. I'm new to Wikipedia and don't know the proper channels to go through, but since you're an administrator and a neutral party I thought I'd come to you. I've had a lot of issues with User:XLR8TION and at this point trying to properly reason with him would be out of the question. The article in question is Sammy Davis, Jr.. He constantly reverts my edits and labels them unconstructive. The issue in question is the ancestry of Davis' mother. Although Davis publicly stated during his lifetime that she was Puerto Rican, biographers now agree that she was in fact Cuban and that Davis lied about this to protect his career due to the unpopular sentiments of the time towards communist Cuba. This fact is stated in several books including The Life of Sammy Davis, Jr. by Gary Fishgall[2] and In Black and White: The Life of Sammy Davis, Jr. By Wil Haygoods [3]. The latter which is an award-winning book[4] that will even form the basis for the screenplay of Davis' biopic to be produced by Denzel Washington.[5] The problem is any time I try and edit the article he swoops right in and reverts it labeling me disgruntled. The fact is she wasn't Puerto Rican, she was Cuban (more proof:[6]and a TIME magazine article for good measure, [7]), I think I have provided enough information to support this fact. What I would like is to edit the article stating his Cuban ancestry as fact with a mention as why he choose to say he was Puerto Rican due to the political sensitivities of the time, and without being reverted. Thank you. 74.225.36.136 20:31, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, I'm not an adminstrator. In any event, I've reverted the edits based on the evidence you provided here and have invited the user in question to discuss the matter here. -- Phoenix2 (holla) 20:44, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Rfa

Thank you for contributing at my recent request for adminship. A few issues were brought up there. I would like to tell you that I am not anti-gay. The creation of the userbox was for other users. If I was, I would have used the userbox within my own userspace. I do not seek to discriminate again homosexuals, bisexuals, asexuals, blacks, whites, Christians, Muslims, and so on. It makes no difference here at Wikipedia, just as long as the user is contributing in a useful manner. Nor do I seek power; just more ways to help the goals of Wikipedia and help other users out. Anyways, thanks for your comments. --Wikihermit (TalkHermesBot) 04:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Again, thank you, and happy editing! Fvasconcellos (t·c) 17:19, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
