:It's impossible to completely delete your account, but you can have all pages associated with you deleted (your user and user talk pages.) If you replace your talk page with <code><nowiki>{{db-userreq|rationale=I would like my right to vanish, please - Sonic99}}</nowiki><code> , say, someone will delete your talk page, and you needn't edit further. :::No, that is not possible. You can't have your edits deleted, but your user discussion page (all of [[User talk:Sonic99]]) can be deleted using that method. Once both of those are deleted, it is unlikely that anyone will find your edits unless they are specifically searching for them. == Deletion of Digital Hoard ==

What is the reason for speedy deletion ? This page is about a product like other existing pages on Wikipedia (examples include '''Delicious Library''' and '''Bookpedia''' among others).

What is so different about this page ?

Or is it that I did not do proper editing ? This message appeared after I tried to add this to a catagory. Maybe Wikipedia adds things to catagories by iteslf. Someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.

:The article was first tagged for deletion by [[User:Realkyhick|Realkyhick]], who noted that the article didn't seem to live up to the notability guideline for companies or their products, meaning that the page then qualified for [[WP:CSD|speedy deletion]] under [[WP:CSD#A7|criterion A7]] ([[WP:N|Notability]] not asserted). After some of your subsequent edits removed the tag (something which the creator of an article shouldn't generally do, by the way, though we don't hold that against you), [[User:Finngall|Finngall]] re-added the tag. Going through entries at [[:Category:Candidates for speedy deletion]], I found the article and judged it to be instead at the time more eligible for speedy deletion under [[WP:CSD#G11|criterion G11]] (Blatant [[WP:SPAM|advertising]]), because of the promotional language it contained. You listed "Digital Hoard's compelling features", for example, described how to use the program, and linked multiple times to its official site - a style which makes the article read like an advertisement. Advertisements are not allowed on Wikipedia, so I deleted it at that time. The questions and answers at [[Wikipedia:Business' FAQ]] might be enlightening, particularly the note about similar products or companies, even if your product is free. I hope that this explanation satisfies your desire to know why your article was deleted. The links were not in the "compeling features section" but in the external Links section where links were placed to the website. Again how is this different from any of the other articles (see above) I mentioned.

I said that the phrase "compelling features" sounded [[WP:SPAM|promotional]], and meant that your linking not only to the official site but to a download page seemed promotional. It is different from the other articles in that the other articles have established the notability of their subjects: [[Delicious Library]] is the recipient of multiple [[Apple Design Award]]s, and as for Bookpedia, I tagged it with {{tl|prod-nn}}, because although the article has lasted for as long as it has so far, it doesn't explicitly mention the notability of its subject. Hi! Im an English teacher in [[Toluca]] Mexico (west of Mexico City). My Advanced B classes will be contributing to Wikipedia as the focus of their English course for Fall 2007. I am looking for people who would like to mentor my students (who will be working in groups) as they do the following assignments: Edit and article (adding a citation), writing a stub with a citation, translating an English language article for Spanish Wikipedia and for the final project, writing a full article for English Wiki (they can expand on the stub mentioned previously). What I would like to do is put a list of "mentors/adopters" on my talk page as a kind of short cut for my students, who have limited time to get things done. The semester begings Aug 6, but the real Wikipedia work wont begin until the beginning of Sept. If you would like to add your name to my list, please go to my talk page and add it there, perhaps with a short introduction, if you like.

I'm pretty sure that it's an uncontroversial deletion candidate, but I don't think it's a speedy deletion candidate. Prod or AfD would both work; I personally recommend {{[[Template:prod|prod]]}}.
