Warning This user's basset hound is currently experiencing health issues that may affect his (the user's) ability to work on Wikipedia. Please bear in mind that these issues may temporarily affect this user's ability to carry out their usual Wikipedia duties. This user may not consequently be able to respond to talk page messages or e-mails in a timely manner during affected periods, and your patience is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to my talk page! Please be sure to make all posts civil and constructive, as I'll revert anything I deem to be vandalism. Also, let us try to keep two-way conversations readable. If you post to my talk page, I will just reply here. If I posted recently to another talk page, including your talk page, then that means I have it on my watchlist and will just read responses there. I may refactor discussions to your talk page for the same reason. Sincerely, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! up to you

See [1]. DGG (talk) 23:14, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks I have commented there (I didn't even realize they were early closes!). --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 23:24, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have userfied the page with the history preserved to:

User:Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles/List of controversial games

this was an AfD ruined by socks, which probably turned off uninvolved editors, and is surely a notable list. Good luck with it. Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 13:40, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 18:27, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So....

Hypothetically speaking, if I were to find a deletion discussion which you participated in that had either gone through DRV or had sat dormant for >60 days, and had not been userfied, then you would add it to your chart?

I recognize there is no policy prohibiting people from misrepresenting themselves in userspace, but from my previous interactions with you, I would be really surprised if this was something you wanted to do...? You just don't seem like a dishonest guy, y'know?  :( --Jaysweet (talk) 20:43, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note my reply on your talk page. --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 20:48, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the full frontal assault. I remain extremely disappointed, and I continue to think the disclaimer at the top of the page is inadequate. However, editing your userspace and attacking you on multiple talk pages simultaneously was out of line. My apologies. --Jaysweet (talk) 23:34, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Accepted and please note the revised lead at User:Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles/Deletion discussions. --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 23:46, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RFA Thanks

Thank you for participating in my RfA, Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles!
I am grateful for your confidence: My RfA passed by a count of 64/3/3, so I am now an administrator! Of course, I plan to conduct my adminship in service of the community, so I believe the community has a right to revoke that privilege at any time. Thus, I will be open for recall under reasonable circumstances. If you have any advice, complaints, or concerns for me, please let me know. Thanks again! Request for help

{{helpme}} While I have been able to take some breaks here and there recently from my dissertation and my my dog's ongoing health problems, tonight it is apparent that my time is most likely going to rapidly diminish and my happiness diminish as well. Anyway, she did have about half of her tail amputated along with eight other tumors elsewhere on her body. Unfortunately, we have noticed some new ones and she has a short time ago tonight managed to somehow literally bite off the tip of her tail where the stitches were between the edits I made at 21:01, 26 July 2008 and 03:03, 27 July 2008, which naturally completely ruined the healing process there, caused loss of blood, etc. My mother, father, and I patched it up as best as we could for now and are taking turns watching her to make sure she does not remove these bandages, but it just is not really looking promising, we have given her what pain medicine we can (it is the weekend and Sunday at 12:43 AM my time and we live in farm country, so not much we can do vet wise until Monday) and so although I may log on here and there, I very well might not and even if I do, I am not likely to feel really good. I love my dogs as if they were human members of my family. It is almost getting beyond our expenses having all of these surgeries as well. So, is there any kind of template that someone could be so kind as to place on top of my userpage and talk page akin to what is on the top of User talk:JuJube, but for a pet, i.e. that replaces "This user" with "This user's basset hound" or something to that effect? Anyway, I would greatly appreciate it. With that, I hope that everyone else is having a better weekend than I! Thank you and --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 04:48, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA Thanks

Thank you for participating in my RfA, wich was successful with 73 support, 6 oppose, and 5 neutral.

I'll try to be as clear as I can in my communication and to clear some of the admin backlog on images.

If there is anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page!

Thank you for participating in my RfB! I am very grateful for the confidence of the community shown at my RfB, which passed by a count of 154/7/2 (95.65%). Thanks to everyone who participated in my RfA, regardless of their !vote. I have withdrawn the nomination as a failure at 19 supports, 45 opposes, and 9 neutral statements.

As has been written and sung, you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need — and what I need is to go back to working on our shared project. Not everyone has to be an admin; there is a role for each of us. After reflection, I feel I don't have the temperament to secure community consensus as an admin at any point, and I will not be applying again in the future — and hey, that's all right, 'cause I stay true to the philosophy that adminship is no big deal: I tried, I failed, and now I'll return to doing what I've always done.
