The Red Cross reported 1,500 people homeless, and the airport at the Meridian Weather Bureau Office in Meridian, Mississippi recorded a wind velocity of 80 miles per hour (130 km/h). The storm also produced rainfall totals of 3.04 inches (7.7 cm) at the Meridian Weather Bureau Office, and 2.90 inches (7.4 cm) at the Meridian Weather Bureau Office airport. 200 people were injured.[1][2][3]
