A Push present (also known as a “baby mama gift" or “baby bauble”) is a present that is given to the mother of a baby by the mother's spouse to reward them for bearing the burden of childbirth.[1] As reported by the New York Times, a survey of more than 30,000 respondents by BabyCenter.com found that 38 percent of new mothers received a gift from their mate in connection with their child. Among pregnant mothers, 55 percent wanted one. About 40 percent of both groups said the baby was ample reward.[2]
