Beginning with Issue 1, each magazine came with a disc containing PlayStation game demos/videos. Beginning with Issue 49 (October [[2001]]), the magazine came with a PlayStation 2 demo disc. Issues 50, 52, and 54 were the last issues to include PS1 demo discs.

OPM has released one PSP demo, and it was of the game [[Killzone Liberation]]. It was available only with the purchase of retail copies rather than subscription issues. The magazine was discontinued before any plans to release a PS3 demo disc were announced.

Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine (often abbreviated to OPM) is a now-defunct international video game magazine, originally published by Ziff Davis Media. The magazine focused on PlayStation culture, including gaming on the original Sony PlayStation, the PlayStation 2, the PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation Portable. It was popular[citation needed] in part for its inclusion of a playable demo disc with each issue, licensed by Sony Computer Entertainment America. The magazine ran began production in September 1997 and ended with the January 2007 issue.

Sony has since announced it will license a new magazine by Future US in late November 2007.[1]
