Growing up in rural Victoria, Williams began riding horses when he was 3. He went on to win the 2003 Australian Junior Jumping Champion and was also named Young Rider of the Year. The following year he was named Young Rider of the Year for jumping and then moved to England to further his equestrian career. He then joined Henk Nooren's stables in Belgium, after which he spent some time in Switzerland riding for Optimum Horses. |
