Potroz has been in and around the Taranaki rugby scene since leaving [[Francis Douglas Memorial College]] in 2009 playing age-grade and development levels along with playing in Taranaki pre-season matches. However, he made his debut in 2018 against Poverty Bay in a [[Ranfurly Shield]] pre-season match in [[Tikorangi]]. He has played for Taranaki at both regional and national sevens level. Potroz played three games for Taranaki in 2018, scoring three tries. His other matches were against Wanganui in the second [[Ranfurly Shield]] pre-season match and came off the bench against Canterbury and was known for scoring a 55m intercept try in that match.


Potroz has played premier club rugby in Taranaki since he left [[Francis Douglas Memorial College]] in 2009, first playing for Stratford until 2013 and now Tukapa. He has played age group, development, representative sevens and featured in Taranaki pre-season matches for a number of years. However, he made his first-class debut in 2018 against Poverty Bay in a [[Ranfurly Shield]] pre-season match in [[Tikorangi]], then against Wanganui in the second [[Ranfurly Shield]] pre-season match and came off the bench against Canterbury. Potroz plays for New Plymouth based club side Tukapa in the Taranaki premier competition and predominately plays five-five eighth. Prior to joining Tukapa, he represented Stratford.

In September 2022, it was announced Potroz will play for the New England Free Jacks in the MLR competition in 2023. He will return to New Zealand to play for his province in the 2023 [[National Provincial Championship (2006–present)|National Provincial Championship]].
