The Study of Church history means different things to different people, for me it means a study of the inspired word of God ie, The KJV translated from the 1611 version.

Church history means plotting a course from the infant Christian Church to the present time.... Church history, as far as I am concerned has nothing to do with "religion" Religion is the enemy of the Church and its Christ.

Religion had is beginning in the garden of Eden when it said to Eve '''"Hath God Said?"'''Bold text'''this question by Satan in the Garden of Eden is typical of all world religions today; they still question the Holy Word of God, religion twists Gods word and makes it say what they want it to say; an example of this is the tsunami of the new English translation of the "bible" that have flooded the word markets, no two agree with each other, hence the reason for so much confusion in the church today.

Unlike the true Christian church which is made up of people who are called by God unto salvation, religion is made up of people who have an understanding of God but not according to Holy Writ, the same, worship God in vain.

Where there is a genuine twenty pound note,there will always be a counterfeit one, its exactly the same with the church, where there is a true genuine Christian Church, you will get the counterfeit religious organisation mimicking the genuine.

For me,studying church history gives me a better understanding of church groweth,it humbles me to see the sacrifices that the early brethren made that we in todays society might continue to enjoy the civil and Christian liberty that they won for us.
