Ed Maley is an 9th dan judoka from the United States. Maley was born in Brooklyn, New York City.[1] Ed Maley was inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame in 1980. Ed Maley has been teaching judo for 65 years,[2] starting judo as a teenager in New York city and continuing while in the Air Force. In 1956 Ed was the first Air Force judo fighter to place in the national championships.[3] From 1959-1965, Ed was the Florida State Champion.[4] Ed currently teaches in Florida,[5] his school has been open since 1963.[6] Ed has trained many national champions during his training.[1]
