Ed Maley is a 8th dan Judoka from the United States. Ed was born in Brooklyn. [1] Ed Maley was inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame in 1980.[2] Ed Maley has been teaching Judo for 65 years. [3] Ed started Judo as a teenager in New York city and continued on while enrolled in the Air Force. [4] Ed was the first Air Force Fighter to place in the national championships starting in 1956.[5] From 1959-1965, Ed was the Florida State Champion.[6] Ed currently teaches in Florida. [7] The school has been open since 1963. [8] Ed has been called the hero of Gene Lebell. [9] Ed has trained many national champions during his training. [10]
