The company was founded by Florin Cornianu and Tudor Bastea and was initially named 123ContactForm. The name changed to 123FormBuilder in late 2017.[1] Created as a simple contact form generator with a drag-and-drop interface used to build custom forms online without needing advanced coding skills, 123FormBuilder has expanded its services to help businesses manage workflows through online forms. History


123FormBuilder is a web-based software service founded in 2008 in Romania – Timișoara, one of the top 3 Tech Hubs in Middle & East Europe. The company was founded in 2008 as a side-project under the name 123ContactForm SRL by Florin Cornianu and Tudor Bastea, two alumni graduates of the Politehnica University from Timisoara, who were employed at the time at different companies.[4] A year later, in 2009, 123FormBuilder collected its first Key Account subscription. In 2011, the company received its first angel investment from Adrian Gheara, who joined 123FormBuilder as an advisor and board member.[5] 4 years later, the company received an investment of 1 million euros from Catalyst Romania, a private equity growth and venture capital fund. [6]

Since its foundation, 123FormBuilder has experienced a year-on-year growth rate of 100% and served over 200,000 users by 2014.[7] In 2015, the number of users grew to 500,000 worldwide.[8]

In 2017, 123FormBuilder became available on the Salesforce AppExchange platform.[9] In 2018, Inc.com ranked 123FormBuilder in the top 5,000 fastest-growing companies in Europe. [10]

123FormBuilder was recognized as one of the top Salesforce Apps in 2022 by Salesforce Ben[11]

Software

123FormBuilder was created as an online form builder with a versatile no-code editor to create and customize digital forms and documents and streamline business workflows with eSignatures, payment processors, and native Salesforce integration. It allows organizations to build online forms, surveys, quizzes, and polls without any technical skills required. 123FormBuilder users can create mobile-responsive forms that blend into any website or internal network within an organization.

Major brands such as Airbus, Hilti, ThyssenKrupp, WWF, the University of Oxford, and 35,000 more have used it.[14]

The product integrates with various major business software tools, such as those for document management, email marketing, and CRM administration (ex., Google Sheets, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Wix, Zoho, Zapier) and payment processors (ex., PayPal, Stripe, Square, Authorize.net). Advanced features include conditional logic settings, digital signature, custom email notifications, setting product fields, multi-page forms, built-in calculations, and form & field analytics.[15]

Like many SaaS business models, 123FormBuilder allows users to start with a free account and access advanced features through a monthly/annual subscription fee with a variable value based on their desired level of service. Light users can create and use a limited number of forms, and heavier users can opt for a paid plan for more advanced features. Moreover, 123FormBuilder offers dedicated Enterprise plans with Salesforce two-way integration for quick automation and advanced features for growing teams, including HIPAA compliance..[16]
