Allyl hexanoate
Chemical properties
It is a colorless to pale yellow clear liquid. You'll find it boiling at 190.00 to 191.00 °C, but its melting point is unknown. Its somewhat weightless compared to other chemicals in the hexanoate chemical family.
Uses
Allyl hexanoate is employed principally in the formulation of pineapple flavors but it canas als be used for peach and apricot essences and for apple blossom, peach blossom, and wisteria perfume compositions. Allyl caproate is an ingredient of some lipstick perfumes. Adds a sweet juicy note to citrus flavors.
