Miguel A. Sanchez, MD, is an American board-certified pathologist who specializes in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and cytopathology. Sanchez is also medical director and chief pathologist of The Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey. He is best known for his contribution in setting the standards of diagnosis and treatment of breast disease and praised by the United States Congress in 1994.[1]
Personal life
Education
Dr. Sanchez received his medical degree from the University of Madrid. Then, he completed his medical training at European and American institutions. In particular, his residency training took place at Englewood Hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, St Vincent's Hospital & Medical Center, and Temple University Hospital, Inc.
Medical career
He has been an attending physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center since 1975, chief of pathology since 1991, and a member of the Board of Trustees since 1985. Sanchez holds professorial appointments at both The Icahn Mount Sinai School of Medicine and New York University
