Rusha & Blizza is an Indian electronic music duo consisting of Paurush Kumar and Aman Khare. They're known for their tracks “Dilbar”, “Huzur”, “Kaise”,[1] and their collaborations with Hyundai Spotlight, Suzuki, and more.
Career
[edit]The duo began their career with independent releases on SoundCloud in 2014. Paurush and Aman met in a gym in Delhi and formed the band in 2010.[2][3] Their debut single, "Alpha Centauri", was released in 2017, followed by the EPs "Mudra" and "Sutra" in 2020 under the Alfa Records label.[4][5] Subsequent EPs, including "Mudra 2", "Better Future Frequencies", and "Bazaar", were also released.[6]
In 2023, Rusha & Blizza achieved mainstream success with the single "Dilbar", originally produced in 2021.[7] The duo later collaborated with Tech Panda & Kenzani on the song.[8][9] The single charted across Canada, UK, Dubai and Pakistan, Official Asian Music Charts, India Indie Charts on Spotify and in Apple Music India's Electronic Charts for over three months.[10] The track was subsequently signed by Sony Music.[11] The following year, their track "Heera Ranjha" featuring Shefali Alvares was featured on the Times Square Billboard for Spotify's RADAR.[12][13]
In 2024, Universal Music India acquired the duo's music catalog ownership from Alfa Records for an undisclosed amount, marking as first time an Indian electronic artist's catalog has been bought by Universal Music.[14][15]
Their track "Saiyaan" was featured in an Indian web series "Class." [16]
The duo released "Gal Mukdi," featuring Mitika Kanwar, the song highlights the value of connecting with others and the world around us. It was inspired by Bulleh Shah's verses.[17][18]
The duo announced an upcoming dance theatre music video series album project titled "Vision One," set for release in 2024.[19][20]
