Revision as of 12:49, 28 November 2023
Comment: This feels a bit like a non-article right now. I think if sources focusing specifically on Mongol banners and emblems could be found it would go a long way towards building this out. BuySomeApples (talk) 02:52, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
The Mongol Empire and Yuan Dynasty lacked a designated national flag, as the notion of a "national flag" had not been conceived at that historical juncture. Nevertheless, several symbols were emblematic of the Mongol Empire, including the Tamgas of Genghis Khan and his forebears.[1], the seal of Seal of Güyük Khan[2], and notably, the Mongol War Tug[3][4]
The Mongol Empire did not possess a singular heraldic symbol, as the conceptualization of heraldic symbols representing entire nations had not yet emerged during that historical epoch.
