Lee Dong-min (Hangul 이동민) (born (1997-03-30)March 30, 1997), better known as Cha Eunwoo (차은우), is a South Korean singer, actor, DJ, dancer and MC. He is a member of the South Korean boy group ASTRO.

Early life

Cha Eunwoo was born on March, 30, 1997, [1] in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Cha Eunwoo studies at Hanlim Arts High School,[2] in his time at school, he was known for being very dedicated in his studies; was the president of his class besides being the captain of the basketball team and the soccer team.[3] In november 2015, he was accepted to Sungkyunkwan University in the field of performing arts. [4]

Cha Eunwoo has been called to be on SM Entertainmentmet, but after this, he meets a Fantagio staff in front of a public restroom and joined the company. [5][6]

Career

2013–15: Career beginnings

Cha Eunwoo has participated in Mr.Pizza’s iTeen Audition Promotional Model with the future group partner Moonbin. [7] In 2014, Cha Eunwoo was the model for the cosmetic brand Shara Shara in South Korea, along with its participation being Naver's face at the same time. [8] Cha Eunwoo had his first job as an actor having a special participation in the film 'My Brillant Life'. [9]

In August 2015, Cha Eunwoo along with the other members of his group had their own web-drama called 투비컨티뉴드 "To Be Continued." where it had the objective of presenting the members of the group formed by the project 'Fantagio iTeen Boys' that in future would be called ASTRO. [10]

2016–present: Debut with ASTRO, MC and actor career

ASTRO had their debut on February 23, 2016 with the mini album 'Spring Up' who began his project with the theme of seasons between his first albums. [11] In August, Cha Eunwoo participated along with other artists in Chuseok special show that originated the drama 'Replies That Make Us Flutter' where he had his first work being one of the protagonists. [12] In september, he participated the special Chuseok pilot program 'Boomshakalaka'. [13]

Cha Eunwoo was announced as the new MC of the show 'Show! Music Core' along with his business partner Kim Sae-Ron and Lee Soo-min in September 23. [14] In the same month, he joined others boygroups members to a special stage on music show Inkigayo singing Love Yourself by Justin Bieber, also Cha Eunwoo participated in the stage playing the piano besides signing. [15] Cha Eunwoo was the lead actor in the drama 'My Romantic Some Recipe' with actress Ju Da-Young. [16]

In January 2017, Cha Eunwoo with Seo Kangjoon participated in the MV 'Mysterious' of the girl group HelloVenus. [17] In March it was announced that Cha Eunwoo, would be part of the cast of the KBS2 drama 'The Best Hit'. [18]In 2018, Cha Eunwoo was cat in the MBC variety-show 'Those Who Cross the Line' [19] In April, it was announced that Cha Eunwoo would attend the first Korean web-drama of the plataform Youtube Red called 'Top Management' [20]. Cha Eunwoo to play lead role in the new JTBC drama 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty'. [21]
