Hi,On 15Aug2020,I submitted a request to be an editor in wikipedia. I was told that I need to be experienced in Wikipedia editing. ​Being marked as a Host here doesn't actually mean anything, anyone can answer questions at the Teahouse (given that they know enough to assist). The Teahouse gives advice about how to edit Wikipedia, and you need to have been a consistent editor here for at least a few months to know how to answer questions about editing Wikipedia. I would recommend just expanding some already-existing articles, then in a few months when you have a few hundred edits you should definitely come and reply to some questions at the Teahouse. – Thjarkur (talk) 11:09, 16 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Not done If this is a request to be added to the list of Hosts, since being unblocked you have not gained sufficient experience. Being a Host does not, however, give you any additional powers (apart from superhuman strength; invisibility; the power to read minds and to see through walls). You are welcome to watch, look and learn, or to chip in when you can genuinely assist someone when they do get stuck. Anyone can do that - you do not need to list yourself as a Host. @爱疯了: Assuming you are here to contribute to this encyclopedia in a way that is useful to its readers, can you do us a favor and explain why you (and many other before you) are requesting to be a Teahouse host? Is there some social media post somewhere that is encouraging this? There is no benefit I can think of. Not done @Emojiidays63: Teahouse Hosts need a lot of prior experience editing Wikipedia in order that they can help others. We expect that broad experience and background knowledge might be gained in around 500 mainspace edits; you have eleven. It's probably rather a bit WP:TOOSOON.
