Lucknow Super Giants in 2022

The Lucknow Super Giants[1] is a future franchise cricket team based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, that will play in the Indian Premier League from 2022.[2][3][4]

The team has appointed former England cricket team coach Andy Flower as the head coach[5] and two-time IPL winning Gautam Gambhir as a mentor.[6] It was bought by the RPSG Group after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had proposed bids for two new IPL teams in 2021.[7][8]
