Rollback

(add requestview requests)

User:Pulpfiction621

I revert vandalism on a daily basis utilizing mostly Twinkle and Redwarn. I have over 3000 edits and I am familiar with the attention to detail required to use Rollback effectively and properly. I am requesting the Rollback permission to improve the efficacy of my day to day reverts of vandalism and other harmful actors and edits that I encounter on the recent changes page. Why are you mass-spamming welcome templates to every IP who makes an edit? Wikipedia:Welcoming committee#Last but not least specifically advises against overdoing it. Also, in cases like this, this, and this, you should be leaving the appropriate warning template, and not a welcome template. -FASTILY 21:13, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am an active extended-confirmed user who is addicted to Wikipedia! My anti-vandalism edits include this [1] and this [2]. I have never edit-warred: if someone reverts one of my edits, I go to their talk page to sort it through with them - or go to a relevant project page if I think some wider perspective could be useful. I would therefore like to request this tool, to help combat vandalism that appears in the future. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 10:40, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done I reviewed your contributions and found little to no recent anti-vandalism work. If you want the right, please spend a few weeks patrolling RecentChanges (Twinkle & RedWarn can help with that) before reapplying. Also, please start warning editors when you revert their edits. Thanks, FASTILY 22:41, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I've been editing enwiki sporadically for some years now, and I've recently started patrolling more frequently using mostly Twinkle. While I don't patrol day-to-day, it would be useful to have rollback rights to make the job easier when I do, though I would understand if you think I need to be more active. agucova (talk) 06:36, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done You said it yourself, "I need to be more active". Looking at your contributions, I see you make handful of edits over a day or two, then drop off for months at a time. Assuming you want the right, then yes, more consistency would be great. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits. Thanks, FASTILY 07:21, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks anyway! I'll reapply when I get a better record. agucova (talk) 18:27, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm applying for the rollback right, to contribute in cleaning up vandalism on Wikipedia. I also read the blocking policy on Enforcement by reverting. A Grammy-nominated singer, "Tay Iwar" article was vandalized by the editor Goodie9696 and deleted under G5. With this right, I intend to clean up articles affected by User's misconduct on Wikipedia. With this right, I intend to roll back eligible subjects, which have been verified to meet the WP:GNG, and WP:NOV guildlines. Afí-afeti (talk) 11:52, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done None of the reasons you provided are actually valid reasons for requesting rollback. I reviewed your contributions anyways and found little to no recent anti-vandalism work. If you want the right, please spend a few weeks patrolling RecentChanges (Twinkle & RedWarn can help with that) before reapplying. Thanks, FASTILY 01:49, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! I'm a quite active (In fact, this month, I've made more edits than any other month during my time on WP.) pending changes reviewer and extended autoconfirmed user with a sizeable track record. Recently, I have been patrolling Special:RecentChanges and Special:PendingChanges and believe that if I were to be granted the rollbacking right, that I would use it in ways that are for the best of Wikipedia. I have also dealt with certain users on this website that have vandalized articles, and I would help to clean up articles that were vandalized or in any other way tampered with by trolls. Cheers!  Not done I noticed you started actively reverting vandalism about a week ago. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I'd like to see you spend more time gaining experience reverting vandalism before assigning you advanced permissions. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits. Thanks, FASTILY 01:49, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Recently, I have participated in recent changes, reporting certain users to AIV (that have been successful it seems,) and I do find it rewarding to help fight vandalism when I see it. If at all possible, I would love to obtain a trial run at rollback rights if possible. Thank you! SPF121188 (talk this way) (contribs) 00:44, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Done 1 month trial, also suggested by @Oshwah, here. -FASTILY 01:49, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
