Since I can't figure out how to make new userboxes, or if I even should for that matter. That and the fact that some reactionary bureaucrats have deleted my images.

  • This user does not trust edit-count userboxes to keep up with his actual amount of edits.
  • This user prefers to improve articles, rather than delete or redirect them.
  • This user isn't above making a few redirections himself, when necessary (but only when necessary).

An image I've been trying to save. First because it was attached to an article that some people keep deleting without justification, and next because I think Brenda Song looks great like this.

Since some bot deleted an article about a TV episode, another one decided to declare the image I added for it an orphan file. Not even the fact that I posted it on my userpage protected it. So this time, I decided to replace it with something else

  • A nice piece of Long Island MacArthur Airport. More specifically a police car from the Town of Islip Auxillary Police Force's MacArthur Airport Division.

  • An interesting looking BMW Police motorcycle from the UK; specifically the West Midlands Police Department.

  • This view of Montauk Point State Park from the Montauk Point Lighthouse is really nice. Too bad it's not being used.

  • Does this neon sign directing commuters to RI, Nickel Plate, and NYC Ticket Windows still exist at La Salle Street Station?

  • JHS 99 in East Harlem, the school where Up the Down Staircase was filmed... at least the exterior of the school.

  • Just posting an image of a White Motor Company Rail Gas Car to show that things like this used to exist.

  • This Wheel-Trans mini bus, built in London, Ontario, is a Ford Econoline E-350, for those who don't know.

  • Hey, what's with that clock on the pole at this British trolley stop?

  • I still remember seeing something similar along a turn ramp at an intersection in Hawthorne, New York, but God knows if I'll ever get the chance to prove it.

  • I used to think it's Prosser Pines County Park. Now, I'm starting to think it's somewhere in Westchester County.

  • Is it weird that I think it's fun that old NYCDOT signs are used at the end of NYC Subway lines?

  • I know the subject is supposed to be the unfinished first generation Ford F-Series, but the last generation IHC D-Series fire truck behind it, and the Volare/Aspen wagon loaded with candy are really hard to ignore.

  • I'm becoming convinced this is near the Mianus River Railroad Bridge.

  • A very funny inscription over one of the fireplaces at the Lyle House in Upper Red Hook, New York.

  • Is this train directly at Katonah's former New York Central Railroad station, or just near it?

  • That image may be for an entrance to the Times Square–42nd Street/Port Authority Bus Terminal (New York City Subway) station, but the Lincoln Highway street name sign on the lamppost is hard to ignore.

  • A little reminder for anti-automotive zealots who think cable cars and streetcars have never caused accidents.

  • This historic house in Flanders, New York is being single-handedly restored by one man, who could use some volunteers.

  • Preserving this place in Miller Place, New York as is though, is debatable.

  • This subway station entrance in Brooklyn would be nice if it was in decent condition.

  • I like the taillights over the license plate on this '41 Buick.

  • I'd love to see more of these TBTA buses here.

  • We also need more "Big Taxi Tours" buses besides this one.

  • Judging by the 1958 Oldsmobile among the cars, this picture has to be from either 1958 or 1959.

  • I've been looking for this for years, and I swear it's either in the North Bronx or Upper Manhattan.

  • This bus has a gallery, but it only has one image. Somebody ought to do something about this, and I wish I could be that somebody.

  • I think I may have seen a billboard like this along Interstate 75 in Sumter County, Florida. Then again, it could've been for a different strip club at a different exit.

  • I also want to find out which rest area in Florida this scene is at.

  • The uploader says this shot of the Davis Park Ferry is at Davis Park, New York, but I don't believe it. There are too many cars on the dock.

  • I've always liked these Eliot Noyes designed Mobil gas pumps. More should be added as images.

  • A rare red NYC Subway sign at Gun Hill Road (IRT Dyre Avenue Line)

  • This is a CITY HALL, not a Town Hall, and should not be categorized as a town hall.

  • The same goes for this place.

  • This truck is not driving the wrong way on I-55 in Mississippi. It's simply being towed. Note the taillight bar strapped on the front.

  • This 1951 Volkswagen convertible dashboard is non-standard, and I like it. I can identify every gauge except the one on the far right.

  • Whoever took this picture was extremely lucky.

  • Sometimes I really love graffiti.

  • Is this NYC or Boston? Because some signs on this trolley seem to say IRT and an advertisement for Food Fair supermarkets, but there's a possibility the one on the left says "South Station Subway."

  • This truck may be from Hollywood, Florida, but the image (and it's cropped version) says it was taken in Los Angeles.

  • Devices like this are quite collectible, and I'll bet are fun to have on display.

  • If anyone in the MTA is reading this, perhaps they can use the remnants of this former LIRR Manhattan Beach Branch station to expand Neck Road (BMT Brighton Line) subway station.

  • This "private traveling grocery store" is actualy an ex-military Ordnance Maintenance Truck.

  • This late-1970's Ford pickup truck has a bed from an early-1980's Ford pickup truck.

  • I'm beginning to suspect this truck might've been an Oshkosh.

  • I've begun to suspect this might be on the North Carolina side of South of the Border, rather than on the South Carolina side. Feel free to prove me wrong.

  • Does anyone else remember Power Test gas stations? Because I do.

  • The Geotag said this was Downtown St. Petersburg at Albert Whitted Airport. I say it's the Howard Frankland Bridge towards northern St. Petersburg.

  • Wow. It was actually possible to see the Empire State Building from Fifth Avenue and 14th Street in 1970.

  • Was this the bus "Weird Al" Yankovic sung about at the end of his album Mandatory Fun?

  • This looks like some kind of concrete pump. Does anybody in the construction industry want to confirm or deny this?

  • The wheelchair ramp and bicycle rack are on proud display on this bus, but there's no bike on it, so I had to get rid of the "Transport of bicycles by bus in the United States" category.

  • Could that be a Budd SPV-2000 behind that rusty red caboose in Strasburg, Pennsylvania?

  • A single rear axle Freightliner cabover hauling an antique engine on a low-boy trailer small enough for a pickup truck. What a sight for sore eyes.

  • Is this subway entrance under the Zeckendorf Building, or some other part of Union Square?

  • February 4, 2016: When I joined Wikipedia nearly a decade ago, I was hoping my contributions were an effort to make the internet not suck. Recent changes within WP:Trains over the past year have not only reaffirmed my belief in the contrary, but has infuriated me excessively. I'm not retiring from this site just yet, because there's plenty that needs to be done.
  • October 9, 2016: Wikipedia is becoming asinine. Removing railroads from station articles, merging city hall, village hall, borough hall and similar categories in to town hall categories, and now removing more state names from cities.
  • December 20, 2016: Wiki-Bureaucrats are getting stupider now! Posting images of Historical Markers are considered Freedom of Panorama violations!
  • November 18, 2018: On Sunday Morning, November 18, 2018 there were 200 images in Wikimedia Commons categorized as being taken in October 2018 in New York state, and only one picture wasn't mine. That used to me mind-blowing to me. More October 2018 pics from both New York State and New York City are still coming, no matter what.
  • January 12, 2019: A new feature in the commons currently puzzles me; "Add a one-line explanation of what this file represents." I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do that, or what that even means.
  • June 25, 2019: One of the blackest days in Wikipedia history. The last group of railroad station articles to maintain the better naming convention fell to the BS naming convention of WP:USStations.
  • October 28, 2020: I recently had two sandboxes for two failed proposed articles... actually lists; 1)[[:User:DanTD/Sandbox/National Register of Historic Places listings in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, and Irvington, New York|National Register of Historic Places listings in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and Irvington, New York]] and 2)[[:User:DanTD/Sandbox/National Register of Historic Places listings in Ossining, New York|National Register of Historic Places listings in Ossining, New York]]. These were two lists that were intended to be split from National Register of Historic Places listings in Westchester County, New York. Unfortunately, there was never enough for the Town of Ossining, and my effort to sort out the ones for Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, and Irvington proved to be a disaster. Therefore I tagged two otherwise potentially decent lists for deletion, and I've been trying to work on both for several years.
  • July 1, 2021: I just found out about another idiotic decision made by the powers that be at Wikipedia; the Retired MTA Regional Bus Operations bus fleet was deleted back in March, by somebody who wasn't interested in buses, or just didn't like the sources. What the hell is this site coming to?
