For your work on the Birthday Committee[edit]
Your email message (Thursday 17th February 2022)[edit]Hello Captain Raju!, Many thanks for your message. I must confess, however, to being rather confused with regard to what It Is that I've done wrong!? Is It my replacement of the short but inaccurate statement regarding the BBC Television film "The Signalman"(1976), that's caused this situation? I assure you that both the script and the sounds In the film itself are exactly as I describe and are therefore proof of the validity of my description. Anyone can confirm this by simply viewing the relevant scenes In the film. I've provided a link where It can be viewed for free at 'dailymotion'[1] - there are many more and I use this only as an example. The only other possibility would be my "User page". When I created my account, and after entering my basic information, I was presented with a 'blank page' which I understood to be an area where a new member should present a short biography (introducing ourselves to the Wikipaedia community). Consequently, I gave a general overview of myself. To be frank, I can't remember exactly what I said because, as It was quickly removed (as you point out), there's no way I can reference It again. It would have been very helpful had you sent me a copy of the article......It's difficult to defend myself when left with no idea as to what It Is that I'm defending myself against!! I'd be very grateful, Captain Raju, If you'd kindly let me know exactly what the problem Is. In any event, I apologise sincerely whatever the issue may be. Please consider my age (58), my health (recovering from radical Radiotherapy for ENT cancer, and disabled with COPD and Arthritis), also would you kindly consider my genuine concern relating (In particular) to the accuracy of Wikipaedia entries; not only factual errors, but also missing words, mistakes In spelling, Grammar and abbreviation - the smallest written mistake can lead to an entry being misunderstood and misinterpreted - a simple and insignificant error can become most serious and profound! Here on Wikipaedia Is where, I hope, my Pedantic, though knowledgeable, nature will again become worthwhile! Science History, Ancient History and the development of middle to modern English are my major fields and which have been and remain my main areas of interest and research. Chemistry was a particular interest of mine which led to further qualification and resulted In my ultimate career......which sadly, I had to retire from, with great reluctance, due to ill health. In case I'm sounding arrogant or even narcissistic, I'd like to make something clear - In my personal opinion, I'm an aging old fool, hoping that I still maintain enough of my faculties to make practical, factual and valid contributions to 'Wikipaedia'. I'm sure that I can continue to make valuable additions. My apologies again, Captain, and I hope to hear from you soon - your explanation will help me to avoid making any similar mistakes In the future. I hope my contributions will be welcomed and I thank you again for contacting me. Thank you, Captain Raju!!! WikiCup 2022 March newsletter[edit]
And so ends the first round of the WikiCup. Last year anyone who scored more than zero points moved on to Round 2, but this was not the case this year, and a score of 13 or more was required to proceed. The top scorers in Round 1 were:
Epicgenius, a finalist last year, who led the field with 1906 points, gained from 32 GAs and 19 DYKs, all on the topic of New York buildings.
AryKun, new to the contest, was second with 1588 points, having achieved 2 FAs, 11 GAs and various other submissions, mostly on the subject of birds.
Bloom6132, a WikiCup veteran, was in third place with 682 points, garnered from 51 In the news items and several DYKs.
GhostRiver was close behind with 679 points, gained from achieving 12 GAs, mostly on ice hockey players, and 35 GARs.
Kavyansh.Singh was in fifth place with 551 points, with an FA, a FL, and many reviews.
SounderBruce was next with 454 points, gained from an FA and various other submissions, mostly on United States highways.
Ktin, another WikiCup veteran, was in seventh place with 412 points, mostly gained from In the news items.
These contestants, like all the others who qualified for Round 2, now have to start scoring points again from scratch. Between them, contestants completed reviews of a large number of good articles as the contest ran concurrently with a GAN backlog drive. Well done all! To qualify for Round 3, contestants will need to finish Round 2 among the top thirty-two participants.
Remember that any content promoted after the end of Round 1 but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Anything that should have been claimed for in Round 1 is no longer eligible for points. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed.
Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Tagging user pages for deletion[edit]
Hello CAPTAIN RAJU. I notice that you recently tagged the user page of User:LauraYYork for speedy deleted with reference to speedy deletion criterion U5, the issue seeming to be that the user in question had made few edits outside of user space.
Perhaps you could clarify the reasoning for the tagging and subsequent deletion? Pinging User:Anthony Bradbury as they carried out the deletion. Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 13:27, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

Need to know reason for deletion of my page[edit]
Hi, I had crested a page that was to represent an organisation. It was created more as a draft with an intention to edit and complete it later on. However, looks like you did not like the same and recommended to delete the page. Please share your concerns as to why you recommended so.

My Apology[edit]
Captain Raju, I do believe I misinterpreted what I was supposed to be writing as it was my first time logging in. I have to chuckle about it but I do apologize.
I am interested in writing of a new bi-product that we recently discovered that I do believe would be an interesting topic of discussion throughout multiple interests. Is that where I would submit such writings?

Tagging[edit]
I see you tagged the IWC Super Indy Championship (I published the article before I was finished) as uncategorized. You are allowed to add categories. You know this. Tagging it as uncategorized is lazy. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 00:17, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Quotes[edit]
You need to be careful about 'fixing' mistakes in quotations, as you did here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gartmorn_Dam&type=revision&diff=1076783312&oldid=1076764501 ... the quote is desease, not disease ... it's a Scottish spelling, a Scottish quote, about a Scottish person. --Tagishsimon (talk) 05:06, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
