FK Budućnost Krušik 2014, formerly FK Budućnost Valjevo (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Будућност Ваљево), is a football club based in Valjevo, Serbia.

History[edit]

Football begins being played in the city of Valjevo in 1909, the year when the first football was brought into the town. In 1919 the RFK Budućnost (Radnički Fudbalski Klub Budućnost) was formed. Quite rapidly, the club became the champion of the Valjevo sub-federation league and competes in the Belgrade League. After World War Two, in 1947, FK Napred is merged into Budućnost and the club begins competing in the Serbian league, 4th Yugoslav tier. Until the 1990s, the club competed in regional leagues. In the season of 1993–94 Budućnost wins the Serbian League (3rd national tier) and earns a promotion to the second league of FR Yugoslavia. In the season of 1995–96 they finished fourth thus earning a place in the top national tier, the First League of FR Yugoslavia. In 1996–97 the club finished 19th, of 24 clubs, but next season, in 1997–98 despite finishing again 19th of 24 clubs, Budućnost ended relegated to FR Yugoslav Second League. As of 2002, the club is relegated from the second league and plays in the Serbian League West.
