This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Puerto Rico. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Puerto Rico|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
Note that there are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove links to other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Puerto Rico.

For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Vice President of Communications for the Tampa Airport, winner of multiple small awards doesn't establish WP:GNG for this article subject. In my BEFORE, I could only find mentions related to her work at the airport. The Emmy awards might be notable but they were regional and I wasn't prepared to watch a video to see if this claim was verified. Liz Read! Talk! 02:12, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak delete. This article as it stands is a collection of trivia and needs to be completely rewritten. (I removed a link to a Wordpress blog among the references.) Two sources might be said to clear the WP:GNG bar: the Tampa Bay Times piece and the Tampa Bay Business Journal article covering her hiring at the airport are both significant coverage of her in secondary, independent, reliable sources. The rest of the sources are trivial mentions (and the "Guide to Tampa Bay" profile is basically a marketing promo). I could probably be persuaded to keep based on the TBT/TBBJ references, but looking at all the sources in context as required, the subject appears to be a WP:RUNOFTHEMILL local broadcast journalist/corporate PR professional whose career does not warrant an article. Does not meet WP:GNG. Beyond lacking a title and release date, none of the available coverage is in significant depth or particularly independent, as it comprises newspapers quoting the artists directly for vague details about their upcoming collaborative project, and one article about a concert where the artists played together (but which does not mention any upcoming album). Searching online for the artists' names only turns up coverage about prior work together. As the advertised album does not list either artist as the primary artist, and neither of their biography articles discuss the upcoming project, so the usual album ATD of redirecting to the recording artist does not apply. signed, Rosguill talk 14:29, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: So it's an un-named album, sourced from interviews, that is coming out sometime in 2024? Nothing here is meeting notability standards; interviews can't be used to show notability and the sourcing is thread-bare otherwise. I'd have put a sentence or two in each of the singers' articles and left it as a one-liner. There is nothing notable about something that might or might not happen sometime, we aren't sure when, that two guys talked about briefly. Oaktree b (talk) 19:20, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
