This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Portugal. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Portugal|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Portugal. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Unnecessary WP:CFORK of teams that never was independently notable and existed solely to the short-lived series, serving to only the most ardent fans per WP:FANCRUFT as a Wikiproject taskforce was active for it. Worthy of Fandom maybe (nothing wrong with it for those who ask) but then the series has been long gone 13 years ago. WP:BEFORE search don’t turn out much other than announcements, if they still exist. Other than routine maintenances, article do not appear to be updated after 2010, indicating it's significance are pretty thin.

Also fail WP:SIGCOV as the only source only cover an announcement to a driver's signing and the other is now dead. Like the series, nothing about it is notable either other than the team operating it. Insufficiently notable WP:GNG to help either. SpacedFarmer (talk) 08:48, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - I believe that all of the SF team pages should remain, as a usual summary of the performances, regardless that the series lasted only 3-4 years. Are you suggesting that all of the A1 Grand Prix country team pages are also not notable? Officially Mr X (talk) 01:12, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am also nominating these as they have the same issues as mentioned below.

Unnecessary WP:CFORK per WP:FANCRUFT. Worthy of Fandom maybe (nothing wrong with it for those who ask) but then the series has been long gone 10 years ago.

Delete. All articles were created in April 2014 by the same user. As it turned out – FA1 lasted one year, coverage was sparse and they were never updated again. They've survived the passage of time with little to no encyclopaedic value; the only useful piece of info is which outfit ran each of the teams, which I've just added to the 2014 season article. Nominated for this same reason

I appreciate this article creator's enthusiasm in the hope that Wikipedia will help to make it notable but editors should be advised of notability guidelines before creating. In this case, can it meet notability guidelines? No, unfortunately. Like everything in Acceleration 2014, nothing there meets notability guidelines.

Unneeded WP:CFORK that is solely useful to the tiniest minorities of dedicated fans, thats if they exist, and is too over reliant on WP:PRIMARY as having checked via WP:BEFORE, this brought in nothing. All the rounds are group together in this nomination for this same reason. What all those articles have in common is that they all fail WP:GNG, as well as having poor level of WP:SIGNIFICANCE and WP:EVENTCRIT, having lasted only a single season. Also, WP:NOSTATS and WP:NSPORTSEVENT, having being a racing series by anybody other than the most ardent fans who may come and fight for a keep vote. Can you at least try not to disparage content creators, as you seem to do in every AfD nomination you make?
